Vista la situazione nazionale e globale inerente le misure precauzionali che i diversi Stati Membri EU ed extra EU stanno adottando in merito al contenimento della diffusione del “coronavirus”; preso atto dei diversi D.P.C.M. adottati dal Governo Italiano e della comunicazione del Ministero dell’Ambiente pervenuta in dd 02 marzo 2020 con cui si indica la sospensione dell’iniziativa per i prossimi tre mesi in attesa dell’evoluzione dell’emergenza sanitaria, si informa che la Youth Spring School “Experience Outdoor Sustainability” è sospesa. Nelle more di eventuali ed ulteriori disposizioni relative alle misure precauzionali, l’organizzazione della Youth Spring School è al momento rimandata all’autunno 2020.

Dal 11 al 16 maggio 2020, nella Riserva di Biosfera Alpi Ledrensi e Judicaria, si terrà la Youth Spring School MAB UNESCO sul tema “Experience Outdoor Sustainability”, un’iniziativa internazionale rivolta, gratuitamente, a 20 giovani tra i 18 ed i 35 anni (di questi 5 posti sono riservati ai giovani delle Alpi Ledrensi e Judicaria).

La scuola è organizzata dal Segretariato Permanente Riserva di Biosfera UNESCO Alpi Ledrensi e Judicaria, con l’importante collaborazione con Montura, azienda trentina leader in attrezzatura e abbigliamento outdoor e fortemente impegnata in iniziative di responsabilità sociale di impresa.

Perché una Youth Spring School MAB UNESCO nella Riserva di Biosfera Alpi Ledrensi e Judicaria

La Riserva di Biosfera Alpi Ledrensi e Judicaria è un territorio dai molteplici paesaggi che spazia dalle Dolomiti, e dal Geoparco del Adamello Brenta fino a quelli dei laghi di Ledro, d'Idro e di Garda. Questa pluralità di paesaggi - rafforzata dalla presenza di ben quattro riconoscimenti UNESCO nel perimetro della Biosfera - impronta gli obiettivi di azione della Riserva di Biosfera verso lo sviluppo di un'economia ed offerta turistica sostenibile e verso un maggiore protagonismo dei giovani allo sviluppo del territorio in un’ottica di sostenibilità.

La partecipazione dei giovani della Riserva di Biosfera “Alpi Ledrensi e Judicaria” ai Forum Mondiali dei Giovani in Italia e Cina ha raccolto la manifestazione dei giovani delegati internazionali di collaborare con le reti nazionali ed internazionali MAB e di utilizzare una tra le più importanti delle caratteristiche del Programma MAB - la connessione in una rete globale - quale strumento per crescere le competenze dei giovani. Competenze che nei partecipanti di tali eventi andranno a concretizzarsi in progetti per lo sviluppo sostenibile, opportunità per nuova imprenditoria ed occasioni di lavoro. Cogliendo questo stimolo, la Riserva di Biosfera organizza tra l’11 ed il 16 maggio la Youth Spring School UNESCO “Experience Outdoor Sustainability” rivolta ai giovani!

Il tema della Youth Spring School: “Experience Outdoor Sustainability”

La parola chiave della Youth Spring School è outdoor, un concetto che racchiude tutte le attività all’aria aperta come l’escursionismo, il trekking, il ciclismo, l’alpinismo, l’arrampicata, ecc., attività però associate alla dimensione della valorizzazione e dell’uso sostenibile del territorio. Il tema dell’outdoor quindi verrà affrontato dalle attività della Youth Spring School non in termini di conoscenza delle pratiche ma in tre chiavi di lettura:

• Accessibilità e cultura: il nuovo vivere l’outdoor
• Cambiamenti climatici e resilienza delle comunità del territorio
• Sostenibilità ambientale nella fruizione del patrimonio naturale

Le attività nei 6 giorni della scuola prevedranno docenze di esperti nazionali ed internazionali, testimonianze di buone pratiche provenienti da diverse Riserve di Biosfera, Geoparchi, siti Patrimonio dell’Umanità, esperienze di operatori del settore, laboratori partecipati nonché visite sul territorio ed escursioni.

A breve verrà pubblicato su questo sito il BANDO DI SELEZIONE per individuare 20 partecipanti. La partecipazione a tutte le attività previste dal programma (che sarà pubblicato assieme al bando di selezione), il vitto e l’alloggio durante la Youth Spring School saranno gratuiti. IMPORTANT!

Due to the national and global situation regarding the precautionary measures that the various EU and non-EU Member States taken to contain the spread of the "coronavirus" and by acknowledging the measures adopted by the Italian Government and the communication of 02 March 2020 from the Ministry of the Environment indicating the suspension of the initiative for the next three months while waiting for the evolution of the health emergency, the initiative Youth Spring School “Experience Outdoor Sustainability”  is suspended. Pending any further disposition regarding precautionary measures, the organization of the Youth Spring School is currently postponed to Autumn 2020.

From the 11th to 16th May 2020 MAB UNESCO Youth Spring School titled "Experience Outdoor Sustainability" organized in the Ledro Alps and Judicaria Biosphere Reserve. An international event addressed to 20 young people between 18 and 35 years old and free of charge (among the 20 participants, 5 places are reserved to candidates from the Ledro Alps and Judicaria Biosphere Reserve).

The school is organized by the Managing Body of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Ledro Alps and Judicaria, with the important collaboration of Montura, a company leader in outdoor equipment and clothing and strongly committed to corporate social responsibility activities.

The reason for a Youth Spring School UNESCO in the Biosphere Reserve

The Biosphere Reserve Ledro Alps and Judicaria is a territory of multiple landscapes ranging from the Dolomites and the Adamello Brenta Geopark to Ledro, Idro and Garda Lakes. A plethora of landscapes – characterized as well by the rare designation of four UNESCO sites within the same Biosphere area - which steers the objectives of the Biosphere Reserve towards the promotion sustainable tourism strategies and on empowering youth in the area’s development towards sustainability.

The participation of young delegates of the Biosphere Reserve in the MAB UNESCO Youth Forums in Italy and China has brought back the voice of young international delegates to collaborate with the national and international MAB networks and to use an important feature of the MAB UNESCO Programme – connectivity with a global scale network - as a tool for capacity building for youth. Skills that through youth will become sustainable projects, opportunities for innovative entrepreneurship and job opportunities. 

 Seizing the motivation of the MAB UNESCO youth, the Biosphere Reserve will organize the Youth Spring School UNESCO "Experience Outdoor Sustainability" from the 11th and 16th May 2020.

 The theme of the Youth Spring School

The keyword of the Youth Spring School is outdoor, a concept that encompasses all outdoor activities such as hiking, trekking, cycling, mountaineering, climbing, nonetheless activities associated with the facet of sustainable use and development for the territory. Outdoor, therefore, not in terms of knowledge of practices but a theme developed along 3 interpretation keys:

• Accessibility and culture: a new way to experience the outdoors.
• Climate change and resilience of local communities
• Environmental sustainability in the use of natural heritage

The activities during the 6 days of the School will include lectures by national and international experts, experiences of good practices from Biosphere Reserves, Geoparks, World Heritage Sites, and important entrepreneurs in the field, workshops as well as visits to the territory.

APPLY WITH NO COST TO THE SCHOOL!

The APPLICATION CALL that will select 20 young participants will soon be published on this website.

Participation in all the activities included in the programme (which will be published together with the Application call), food and accommodation during the Youth Spring School will be free of charge. The only cost to be covered by participants will be the travel costs (arrival and departure) to reach the initiative's premises in the Biosphere Reserve Ledro Alps and Judicaria.
